Has there ever been someone you follow and then stopped following because of something they posted?
How do these people get so many followers?
What are they doing that makes you want to follow them?
Following influencers is a form of networking that is done on many media platforms. Networks are built over time – it is not something that happens instantly. Although it can at times “click” at the right time and place but this is unlikely and more like winning the lottery!
Building relationships created by trust and by connecting with people authentically. You network all the time. It is not just about acquiring employment or attending events where you are trying to network, it is any time you interact with people. It’s not what you know, it’s who you know.
You can learn about jobs before they are public, gain information about opportunities when you are not looking, learn about work in other industries, build your own potential, help others to see your potential, helps get your foot in the door, creates new relationships, learning from others, sharing your expertise.
