Description:

This certification explores basis of conflict, conflict as a stage in the continuum of change, different conflict styles, and builds skills for reaching effective solutions. Participants learn to identify potential areas for disagreement before they surface, articulate desired outcomes, and how to effectively deal with difficult people and challenging situations. Discovering how conflicts affect them in various situations, adjusting perspectives to shift thinking and action, and understand how to address conflict based on equity and human needs will be explored. While giving the opportunity to identify 2-3 skills they will commit to improving their communication and de-escalating a conflict situation.
