How does the lunch N’ Learn work?

We will send pizzas to your school with plates and napkins. A Career Talk speaker will arrive at your school at 1145am. As the students are enjoying their pizza the speaker will share:

details about their career journey, including their unique post-secondary path,
what’s exciting about their careers,
the challenges of working in their industry, and
how to leverage part time and volunteer work to meet your career goals.

11:30 am-12:15 pm Lunch and Career Talk

What if I don’t know the exact number of students when I register?

40+ students may attend. We will make sure there is enough pizza for the number of students you give us. You are welcome to invite grade 10 students to participate and promote your program if your numbers are lower than anticipated.

What if don’t have 40 students?

You are welcome to invite grade 10 students to increase your numbers and promote your SHSM program.

How much does a Lunch N’ Learn Cost?

The session is $39.00 per student plus tax

How will my invoice be processed?

Invoices will be issued within 48 hours of registration and are due within one month. Please see details listed on your invoice.

How will the Lunch and Learn meet the Ministry SHSM requirements?

The Lunch N’ Learn is a career exploration opportunity.

What logistic issues should I be prepared for?

Dates: The date will be the same day as your SHSM training
We accommodate students with the following dietary restrictions:
- Vegetarian
- Students with other restrictions may bring their own lunch
- Students are asked to bring a personal water bottle
Events will only be rescheduled if schools are closed for the day based on weather and other unforeseeable issues.
